Master the Craft of Locs
A two-day intensive for professional stylists — grid precision, four installation methods, maintenance, and repair.
Is This You?
You already take clients and want to add locs to your service menu with confidence, not guesswork.
You're self-taught and getting by — but you know your grids aren't accurate, your sizing is inconsistent, and you're not sure how to fix what goes wrong.
You run a salon and want a stylist on your team properly trained in locs.
This is a professional-level class. You should already be comfortable working with Afro-textured hair.
Ten Years of Excellence
Enam is a loctician with over ten years of experience in the natural hair and locs industry.
She co-owns Enam's Place, a salon focused on locs and healthy hair, with two branches in Accra. She is also a certified Level 1 trichologist and a haircare product developer.
"After about a decade in the industry, I believe this is the time to start pouring into others the knowledge I've gathered through practice, client consultation, and product development. I'm not just a loctician — I'm a healthy hair enthusiast. The foundation of every head of hair starts at the root and the scalp, and every loctician needs to understand how to care for their clients' hair through and through, not just give them pretty styles."
— Enam
This masterclass will equip you with the skills and knowledge essential to client consultation, loc establishment, maintenance, and loc repairs — the Enam's Place way. Ten years of experience, poured into two days.
Two Days. Everything from First Consultation to Repair Work
The Blueprint
Consultation, Grid, and Establishment
- Read any head of hair. Assess texture and density, and set realistic maturation expectations so clients stay happy through the awkward months.
- Map a grid that holds. Hands-on practice on mannequin heads building precision square patterns with total symmetry.
- Install locs with the interlocking method. You will be introduced to the various methods of stating locs including Comb coils, two-strand twists, interlocking and instant locs / crochet method — but the main focus will be on the interlocking method.
Preservation
Products, Maintenance, and Repairs
- Choose products that don't sabotage the work. How to prevent residue, heavy build-up, and lint, using the Menada Locs Revitalizing system.
- Retwist without damaging edges. Interlocking with precise tension control at the root.
- Fix what's broken. Rebuild thinning roots, repair structural holes, separate married locs, and cleanly reattach or combine broken units.
- Prove it. Timed grid execution and starter installation on a mannequin, evaluated directly — followed by your certificate.
